Report him Dan. That will be the karma. This happened locla here too.. the guy that hit one of the nesic guys was 18... and the staties approached him at the house (hit and run) and he sang like a bird, and the damage was evident.
If they can match up your damage with that on the jeep.. that kid will get karma ++. Not to mention hefty fines and possible suspension for leaving the scene.
Don't say it's not worth it... because it is. The guy was a dumbass... he deserves what he's got coming to him.
MAKE the police work for you.

You have absolutely nothing to gain but satisfaction of seeing this slim shady punk go down. I can almost guarantee he wasn't supposed to be driving mommy and daddy's car. Hell, maybe he didn't have a license which would mean he'd probably get driving privledges revoked till he was 18. The sooner you do it the better. And if/when you call the CHP (the sooner the better) don't pull the "damage to my car" card. Instead, pull the i want the "streets to be safe from this lunatic" card. If you think there isn't enough damage go out to the garage with a mallet and steel wool!
you need to put this boy down. just think... you'd get your car fixed, he'd probably get severly punished, he GF would dump him for being a loser, and finally he'd get charged with hit and run.

EDIT: if you're embarassed of what the CHP officers will think of your damage all i can say is they've seen/dealt with x100 worse. I've asked my ex brother-in-law about some horror stories and this doesn't even compare to the stupid crap he's seen in 3 years on the force. The CHP WON'T care! This is their job! put your taxes to work!

gets a hard-on from messin' w/ Subie drivers. My wife takes my REX out every so often and I can't even begin to imagine that guy messin' w/ my wife. The "Karma" I see for that is a suspended license, community service, and a nice little fine.

damn that sucks what happened but you should report him. obviously he had out for you because of your car. next time it could be one of us and a more serious accident.

He lives right around the corner from there. My friend lives the first street off decoto and I know for sure I have seen that dude around. It's one of those freaking...ah...lerado's. Girl friend is like this skinny blonde chick....if that's the right guy....
I'd report it just to be a dick....that's a nice little ticket...even if he doesn't fix your car at least he'll pay for it the other way...report it...report it now.....

Seriously though, you should go do a little recon and see if there's any damage. that way Daniel can get your address and say he followed the Kid home because he failed to stop. Then daniel could tell the CHP that he didn't want to confront the kid on his turf because he was affraid he had a gun etc etc.
the possibilities are endless... he needs to PAY!

Man... i'm pissed off too, but not because I had some punk try to run me off the road and block the crap out of me... but because I'm starting to doubt myself... Flat Four Engine... boxer engine... is not an inline 4 that's mounted on it's side right? It's an engine that's flat and has two pistons on each side moving like a boxers gloves right? Right...
