I rarely rent cars these days, but I really did use Enterprise when I had to. Employee pricing for the win!
Just don't rent from a place called Rent-A-Wreck. They aren't joking. My stepdad had to rent a car once and went the ultra cheap route (IIRC, $7.50/day). The passenger door was held closed with rope and duct tape. The rest of the car was about the same. I'm amazed it actually drove.

Another for Enterprise - they are great. I get cars from my local on Harbor Blvd in Belmont, got a few SUVs from them as well for great prices - best bet is to walk in and talk to someone, I have gotten the best deals doing that over the online prices and such.

Enterprise in San Carlos has them all the time. I think they are like $50 a day, tell them that gas prices a alot now and they will take like $20 off
