Supra TT or STI?

well going to get a new car but not sure which one to go for. I know the supra is not all wheel drive but they are so sweet and sooo fast if done right. Having had a wrx and a supra at one time not a TT. I know they are some of the best sports cars in my book. both 6 speed, both come with 300hp that 2jztte motor is just awsome but so is the sti motor.

any thoughts from anyone. THOMAS

The only problem w/ a Supra is finding one that wasn't so highly modified, usually to a degree that there is no turning back. Also finding one w/ low mileage is the other thing. I would go w/ the STI for those reasons. I love the Supra, before buying my car, I spent months trying to fine a clean Supra TT w/out mods because I wanted to do them myself.

What HomerJay said.

Paying top $$$ for a used car with or w/out warranty just seems silly, especially when you can get into an STi for MSRP.

I don't even think you can get an EVO for less than 3k over MSRP, so the STi looks to be the better value.

Don't get me wrong, I like Supras, its just that...yeah.

Supra TT if you could find a clean, low mileage one. I've realized I'm far happier in a RWD than an AWD or FWD recently. WRX is still a ton of fun, but you can never get rid of that inherent understeer, especially past the apex... Oh well.

WELL with price of VLF in cali.........

A older car just seem to make a bit more sence now. I was all over getting a STi next year but I'm swinging more now for a Nissan Silvia (US 240) with a JDM turbofied engine drop!!!

SSSSSwwwwwEEEEEtttttt!!!

Hey zumn... Lemme know when you figure out how to get that one street legal.

How bad would I love to drive around in a nice S13 with a redtop in it... Man oh man. EXTREMELY affordable, hauls *** and handles ****

to CARB and SMOG and any other agency standing between me and my S13. Mother****ers.

Depends on what you want.

The 2JZ engine is virtually indestructable, being able to handle insane amounts of boost with minimal worry. Its a power monster, easily getting into the 500 hp range with relatively minimal work. And of course, its capable of well over 1000hp. The downside is that it sucks at putting the power to the ground and keepin it there and its not the autocross king.

The STi, while FHI engines do last long, they are not know to be as indestructable and do not respond to modifications with the same sort of increased output that the 2JZ does. But then, I take my Supra friends out for a ride and while they are far from unimpressed by the power, I have been known to find brown stains on the passener seat after takin a few good turns that'd send a stock suspended Supra off the road

ahhhhh the beauty of awd. plus the STi will hold more, be more of an all around car than the supra. but for some reason i don't think that's an issue. i know i'd pick an STi but then i like being in situations where 4 wheels pulling is better (off road)... but a supra would be so cool. but i'd go with the STi anyway
