Summer Vacation Time

I was wondering where people from the Bay Area were planning on going for vacation this summer. There's been alot of talk about a recession and cutting back on expenses, but people in the Bay Area tend to have more disposable income and I'm guessing won't be affected as much.

For me I'll be going to the holy grail of roller coasters, Ohio. Three days at King's Island and four days at Cedar Point.

Top Thrill Dragster - 420 feet high, 0 to 120 mph in 4 seconds
Millenium Force - 310 feet high, 92 mph
Magnum XL 200 - 205 feet high, 72 mph
Wicked Twister - 215 feet high, 72 mph
Maverick - hits 70 mph and has a 95 degree first drop
Son of Beast (wooden) - 218 feet high, 78 mph

Just for reference, Drop Zone at Great America has a drop of 207 feet.

2008 vacations... I have alreayd been to Costa Rica for 10 daythis year. I have a yearly 10 day camping trip the week after fourth of July. Most likely going to Hawaii this fall (visit my mom and do the tourist thing). I am going to try my best to end the year in Austrailia to visit my best friend who will be living there for a year. I am also going to try and squeeze in a trip to Japan.

I didn't realize Hawaii was so popular. Maybe I should go there next year.

JOEBOBBUCKET = BALLER STATUS

jewpac420 - You going to make it south of the border? I'd go to Rosarito and have at it with the drunk college girls.

No big plans, maybe hit the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland for 3 days or so, then the German GP, followed by a week in France, something like that.
