Yeah, at least off yourself in a way that won't hurt others.

Suicide is an inherently selfish act, particularly when done with reckless abandon for those around you who don't want to die. I feel bad for this persons family and friends.

have some compassion man, he was going through something you and I will probably never be able to comprehend. I love my Subaru, but no car is important enough to be related to life/death and therefore whether someone deserves the car (I know I didnt word that well).

That wasnt even his original plan, he started with the exhaust method which was thwarted by a bum (by the way, are you going to pass judgement on the next bum you pass?) and then was being chased by the cops. His already unstable mental condition as worsened by the chase most likely. Even when a mentally stable person is being chased they aren't going to be logical. Add those two mebtaly unstable situations together and there is no way you can try to apply your logical thought process to it.

Yes, it would have been nice had he not endangered others and destroyed others' property, but wouldn't it have been even nicer had he not felt the need to end his life in the first place?

The cop probably shouldn't have reacted that way. Maybe call a professional next time. It sounded like he was still conscious when the officer approached. I understand though, he thought he was saving a life. Props to the homeless guy though.

Wait... the thick Bpillar, the 3 ring chassis, and the airbags didn't save him?

I'd love to see how you'd react if you were in that situation.

they tried to bust his window out because the guy wasn't communicating.

He drove away. They FOLLOWED... not a high speed persuit. This guy jammed on the gas and killed himself after the police FOLLOW had stopped.

I don't think they did a damn thing wrong. This guy was determined to kill himself. I'd be AMAZED if they don't find a BAL of over 2.0 when they do the tox screen. Considering the time this guy was probably depressed. Got drunk which worsened his depression then killed himself. Seriously> I wouldn't be surprised to find out that his girl cheated on him and he was parked in front of her house.

This guy was determined and at least he didn't smash into cars with people in them. Stable people don't put tubes on their exhaust pipes and try to kill themselves so why would you think he'd be rational enough to not drive like an idiot then smash himself up.

If he was catless the bum probably would have been too late.

Damn, thats awful... Poor guy. You gotta either have some serious depression problems or just have everything in the world thrown at you.

Remember everyone that no matter how bad the situation seems or is at the time, IT WILL get better, and YOU CAN change the problems that you have.

RIP

Have you seen the picture?

He landed upside down on that Ford Ranger. He for sure had his head crushed. The flip more than likely accelerated that end of the suby, probably made the impact force super high.
