Here's basically 4G Impreza based Subaru XV (apparently they take out "Impreza" name out):

 

It isn't exactly a secret, no.

It isn't the OBS trim level exactly. The OBS goes away for the new model-year in the US anyhow.

 

It's a shame it isn't coming here. It probably could do well here.

 

Of course not... because we always get the lame@$$ downgraded version.

According to cars101.com, there will be 3 model lines: Impreza, WRX/STI, & possibly XV small crossover which is expected to be OBS's replacement but not yet announced.

 

The replacement for the OBS is the Sport from what I understand. Not "Outback Sport", but just "Sport". It's in the lit we got recently and it makes sense with what Subaru has told me. I don't see the XV as we see it here coming over because Subaru is so concerned with another model cannibalizing their sales of the Outback that they won't do anything to cause an issues (see: death of the LGT).

The WRX/STi will remain in the same skin for at least one model year.

 

Just re-checked a document and we have (for the US model) 2.0i, 2.0 Limited and Sport as models.
