You might have to travel a little further than the South Bay. I think the one in Rancho Cordova would be the closest to the Bay Area: http://www.4subarusuzukikiaparts.com/

yea that or your local pick n pull. Pretty much the ONLY good yard I've found in the area for subarus would be subaru suzuki kia. They usually have the misc stock junk im looking for when i cant snag it from pick-n-pull lol

btw...Mr. Furely works there, found out when i was trying to fix my horn at their place lol

That's a very interesting question. Generally speaking, businesses like to charge for their products.

Check out www.car-part.com. Basically an internet 'hotline' for yards. Find anything fast, get it shipped.

I'm probably dreaming, but how often do STi's show up?

Obviously that's a Subie salvager's dream.

yep, they're kinda pricey for sure... Roo and I went there to get power steering lines for our SVX, and even with a wholesaler discount we still payed ~50% of the price for brand-new ones. They also quoted us some ridiculous $$ for some Forester door cards last week.

I never understand why companies do that... Once someone sells consistently for good prices, they get passed around word of mouth as the "place to get stuff" with no advertising needed. These places essentially scare away each person that happens to find and contact them.

I've always suspected businesses with ridiculously high prices and sales/owners who don't seem to care about actually selling are actually just fronts for black market businesses.

its beacause when one stupid person pays the price they are asking, it makes up for the next 5 that the prices turn away

But that's the thing though.. It doesn't. One person who gets a great deal tells everyone about it, sends them only there. One person who gets a crap deal also tells everyone. This propogates. Just seems weird.
