I'm alright. Just very disappointed.
Subaru had a banner year for sales last year, but this year isn't so good. Subaru sales are down 25% in the first quarter alone across the boards. Sure, some models grew a bit, but overall it's not pretty. Subaru isn't the only one having a tough time, either.
The owners decided that it wasn't in their best interest to keep the door open. Nothing that I can do about that.
Sales was the primary reason for the decision. Fixed operations (parts/service) has been growing every month, but not enough to carry the dealership. It's very hard when there aren't enough cars to service.
I should be fine. Concentrating on closing this place down and hoping to land on my feet somewhere. My tech and other staff have been placed, so now I'm just worrying about myself.
10% over cost for anything left in stock. We're not ordering anything anymore. Doors will close for good on Thursday.
Thanks guys. You've all been really good to Subaru of Fremont and I really appreciate that.

damn that sucks, I was just there last week to get a oil change. By the way, Ryan thanks for helping out on the oil change, you saved me some money on not buying the dealership oil and letting me know to buy the synthetic at walmart. Good luck!

Too many subaru dealerships in the bay area. It's not a HUGE market car.
Livermore. Carlsen. Stevens Creek. Santa Cruz. Etc. Just too much compitition. I'm sure the stevens creek guys where making deals directed at beating fremont sales prices and what not.

Uhhh... random accessories. Tune up bits (belts, fuel filters, etc.). Most of the spark plugs for WRX are gone. Only a few oil filters left (need those for services). Couple of air filters. Chemicals. Etc.
If you're interested feel free to come take a look around.
