I found this neat video guide of Japans Gunma plant. If this was a repost, oh well its great to watch again.




The beginning also shows that the white rabbit symbol has always been a symbolic trademark. First subaru made planes and on some fighter planes they had the white rabbit leaping painted on them. Then subaru expanded to consumer transportation products, released a motor scooter named the rabbit with a similar painted design. And well along the way we have our white rabbit impreza badges. Pretty neat stuff. Hope you enjoy.

No, not ALL. For example, the Outback is made in Lafayette, Indiana.

I think the STI is the only one made in Japan still? Maybe the WRX too?

IIRC Impreza 2.5i, WRX, STi, Foresters, and some Legacies are still made in Japan.

Check your VIN. If it starts with "JF1" then your car was made in Japan. My '09 2.5i was made in Japan .

As for Subarus made in the USA, I do believe the Legacy, Outback, and Tribeca are made in Subaru of Indiana Automotive.

Correct, Legacy based models (including Outback) and the Tribeca are made in Indiana.

All other Subaru vehicles come from Japan.

Yea but the 6 sister Pleiades star cluster also has meaning.
