Stupid question I think I already know the answer to.. (water pump)

So I noticed a leak coming from the water pump today. Temp never spikes, but the car is leaving a coaster size wet spot on the ground every day. Is there a gasket that could have failed, or should I just buy the water pump + gasket and replace everything since I have to remove it anyways? How much is a water pump for a 2000 RS? TIA!

Whats the mileage on the car? I'd replace both myself. Would be a shame to only do the gasket and find it still leaking.

Pump is about $100.

the pump has a weep hole for when the internal seals goes...it could be this.

replace pump, seal, gasket...and you should be good.

we have this all in stock as well.

This is a new motor, only has around 20k on it. I'm gonna have them take a look at the belt anyways JIC, i got the pump for $56 and i think I can get a belt ~$40 bucks so yeah since we have to take it off anyways if it looks at all shoddy I'll replace the belt as well.

On a different note since we got the expertz in the house is it possible to clean o2 sensors? I'm getting P0420 (CAT below efficiency) and we replaced the CAT but still throwin the code.. old engine blew a headgasket, wondering if the sensors are faulty?

Hookups at the parts supplier I'm actually living in Canada ATM so it's of no use to you guys down there.

Not everything is cheap. Cheapest rear 02 sensor up here is close to $400... dunno why.

And a 6 pack of Corona is $15 bucks, WTF?
