stupid dumb **** faded in an suv

Both parked at red light on 2 lane road. No cars to either side. Light turns green. Single car in front of me starts to pull forward. Idiot faded stupid dumb **** idiot in SUV behind me does the same and plows into my trunk before I've even lifted off of brake. Getting estimate tomorrow am. At least new trunk and new bumper involved. Idiot.

Sorry to hear that Huck, don't let em get away with just paying for your trunk/bumper though, make sure to get additional money for pain and suffering.

If you want details, you know how to get ahold of me

Good Luck.

I got rear ended when I was 16 and was offered $1000 just to sign a waiver. My dad signed it and I scored $1k. My friend who was in the car also got the offer, but his dad balked at it on the phone. The guy instantly doubled it to $2k. Man was I pissed at my dad for not negotiating more! lol

Definitely not. OEM parts actually cost more, so just get them to cut you a check...

Hey maybe you can get your estimate for parts at Stevens Creek, you know they'll try and give you a ridiculous expensive price... in turn could be your gain when that dude has to pay up =)

You have to go with the price that the body shop gives you on parts, which is semi-standardized, which is much less than shady dealers will charge (to the public anyway).

(i just got rear ended this past friday)

Where do you think you're going to take your car this time huck? I'm not sure where to get estimates here in Petaluma. I was thinking about going to that place on S. Petaluma Blvd.

Tell him for you even to consider the outside offer it has to be good. Then sell him on the benefit of giving you a good offer.

Insurance goes up, lawyers, court, lawyer costs, time, etc.

Good luck, sucks to hear about your accident.
