stormwatch in sacramento

OMG!!!1!11! i was watching channel 13 news just now and the were talking about the storm we're having. they reported that we are in no flood danger from the American or Sacramento rivers. I was like, WTF, are they in the same storm I'm in? i've seen maybe a half hour of light rain today and in general it's overcast.

cliff notes:
news is st00pid.
no flood warning (thank god)
i have too much spare time today.

It's the news, they wouldn't have a job if they didn't sensationalize / over exaggerate everything.

Yeah new is stupid, but I have seen the Sacramento River and the American River overflow in my life, and no one thought it would. HEHEHE one time is why my dad's BMW got a new engine.

And after seeing how fast water can build up here in Vegas, I do not put it past mother nature to overflow a river within 30mins.

It rained quite a bit here at my place - and I live about a mile from the river (s'okay - I have flood insurance).

Haven't gone up to the river recently though - but it should be fine.
