Storm close calls/casualties

So did anyone else have a close call today with the rain? I was sweating this one out hoping the water didn't rise anymore. Luckily it didn't!

no they do not. nor do i think people truly check their necessary/safety equipment before crucial seasons (winter: tires, brakes, wipers, *** HEATER , summer: tires, fluids, brakes, etc) IMO. not saying thats the excuse for every "bad" driver. some are just plain Fin morons!

HWY-280 N/B of El Monte, went waterskiiing with a bunch of traffic. Watch the left lane @ 8 seconds. The driver of the (Mercedes/BMW?) passed up 2, yes, 2 CHP that were running a rolling stop to try and pass all of us. I had held back so the truck and car next to me could do what they wanted and fall in-line behind the white firetruck. Water was about 6-8" deep in the middle of the stream across the road. Wasn't sure the security camera caught the footage until later on.

They shut the section down for I believe an hour after we made it through.

Near Woodside, there was a foot of water reported on Interstate Highway 280 at Woodside Road.

Went to Oakland today to leave a car at the airport and it was pretty bad. Got a police escort though. Apparently the Cleveland Browns were staying somewhere off 680 and they got on 580 with 3 Oakland police at the same time I was going through. Didn't know Oakland has an F350 Dually 4x4.
