It was the first Droid. I am waiting on the iphone 5 so I just wanted to upgrade for now from my non 3g phone and I got scrwed. I did a phone look-up and it said that it was a land line but I was texting him. Maybe he was using one of those fake number things? I dont know. I probably am just ****ed? Lesson Learned.

you didn't do any email negotiations with the dude before you got the number? does the number even contact the same guy?

if so, landline, reverse lookup is easy.

Edit: just looked it up, may be a landline but no address is coming up.

surewest telephone is what came up, and they do VOIP in Sacramento and Kansas City.

Get them involved, get a name and address from them. Give him hell, it's not about the money, it's about the principal.

I did alot of googling and I'm just going to try and get my money back so if anybody want a Droid for $60 like new and comes with charger. FOR METRO only. I do not screw people especially people with nice cars like all of you.

How did you find out it was stolen?

Not know how to flash it, etc but you are using a stolen phone. How are you going to prove that you didn't steal it? Also trying to sell it is a bad idea. Call it a life lesson and move on.

Anyone even think to try and find the person from whom it was stolen?

I bought the phone on CL for $60, the guy told me it wasn't stolen and I tried to activate it infront of him but since I have a non-3g phone I had to call customer service and talk to them.. I gave them the MEID # and they said it was reported lost or stolen. By that time the dude had already left, said he could hang out for 20 minutes while I talk to customer service. Anyway.. I'm not trying to scam anyone.. It is a perfectly good phone and can be used on metro with no problems. I just want to get my money back and help someone out with metro by giving them a nice phone for cheap.

sounds like you have $60 worth of Karma. I would see if you can call your carrier back and find out who it belongs to.
