in the article it said, back in 1969, more than 215 cars were stolen each day!! and then it said that it's more than four times more than today.... so does this mean there are around 50 cars stolen each day in the city currently?

My Dad had a '66 427 roadster w/ fully blueprinted motor. That car was stolen TWICE back in early 70!!! The first time the theif was shot and killed. Never found it the second time.... I wish it was my dad's vet they found!

man in Calif. you think they would even find that car? it wouldbe long gone and no investigator is gonna go there. Go to the donut shop they will or bust an import car with mods.lol.
I'm really happy he got his car back and I'm kinda upset they aren't going to bust the guy that was shipping it out.
I understand how he "might" not have known about the cars history, but come on. Wouldn't you think it was fishy that the car hadn't been registered in 30 years? Why would he be selling it overseas? I bet he knew the car was fishy and he probably thought it was worth the risks because he got it for a good deal. Throw the guy in jail.
It's always friends of friends of friends that can get you "good deals" on "used" stuff. That's where all this stolen stuff ends up. Yeah, since the internet and ebay it's easier to sell stolen things without getting caught, but I'm sure that most things still get fenced the old fashion way.

damn thats crazy that they caught the guy and that dude should be on his knees thanking the man above that his *** is still walking free
i doubt brucelee would use deadly force to stop a car theif 
unless he didnt have insurance or it was being done at gun point then maybe haha
i know i wouldnt dare use my weapon unless somone posed to be an Immediate threat to me or others.
