Does anyone know if stock 05 wrx rims are painted or powder coated? The shop I took them to painted one and the color is a little off, a lot of you saw them at the cosco before we went to bam. Should the wheel place be painting them or powder coating them to return to stock?

Powder coating cast wheels will make them hella brittle

I thought it was only forged wheels that are the ones with problems when it comes to powder coating and cast were fine on a low heat bake?

 

Both cast and forged wheels are found to be very brittle. And when they say low heat, I really doubt that unless you are right there watching them.
