Talking

i ended up welding up a quick tripod mount that bolts to the subframe beam under the seat bottom.. it came out alot better than i expected. ill post pics of the mount tomorrow if you would like to see. the thing is SOLID

im running, well...... was running the RS2. I had really bad chunking/ cracking on the outer edges.. they are DUN..

before the tires went south i was averaging 2:11-2:12 in the morning.
Will be going back in november with camber plates and toyo's

here is another shorter vid

Nice! The camera mount looks like it worked very well. Nothing is worse than a shaky camera. Good positioning too. I recommend next time out: work on slowing and reducing steering wheel inputs. The car will hold on a lot better if you are smoother as you approach the limit. Also - nobody said anything about short sleeves? The berms at T-Hill look nice now! Cool vid. Last time I had my mount but no camera and it bums me out.

Wow, short sleeves and especially shorts is pretty odd on a track day, especially at Thunderhill. NASA wouldn't let anyone on the track w/out long sleeves and pants. Sorta sucks when it's 96* in the shade... Even worse when your car is gettin hot and you have to run with the heater..

both unlimitedlaps.com and trackmasters-racing.com allow shorts as well. very nice on a hot day.

in that last vid it looked like you were running about 2:15...was that from the later sessions when the tires went? it look like the car was pushing a bit too from the video.

nice driving...looked like you have a pretty good line around the track.

the toyo (assuming ra1's) and more front neg camber will help for sure.

What gear are you in when you are going through 14/15? i noticed you were shifting in-between 14/15. Is there a gear you can get into at the beginning of 14 where you can carry it all the way through 15 and then shift on the straight???

yeah i only got about 1 1/2 quick sessions out of the tires.. once they went, i started taking students/passengers. Then was sitting in the 2:14-2:15 range.. only have about -1.5 in front =whole lotta push

14-15 was third to fourth. I earlier tried to enter 14 in 4th but bogged all the way through. cant keep the entery speed the way the tires where by that point, plus i was having to lift mid 15 to kill the push.

i already ordered some RA-1 and my camber plates.

I still have to work on me pinching 9

Yeah 9 is fast and can be tricky at speed. I've gone 4 wheels off and spun back across the track to the left into the dirt! Camera was rollin' but like a Rookie I had the cap on!

With more neg camber and the RA1's you will really like the change. I'm running the RA's (235/40-17's) and about -4deg camber up front and -2.4 deg rear with no problems. The RA1's just last and grip all day long, as long as you watch the air pressure.

So in 14-15 you can't leave it in 3rd I guess?? Does it have something to do with the 6-speed gearing?? Cuz with my wagon and the 5-spd I'm in 3rd all the way through and then shifting to 4th down the front and through Turn 1.

When is your next track day??

Not to mention MadSkill behind the wheel then. I bet you'll get get into the sub 2:10's with just tires and the camber plates. I think my best times have been consistant 2:11's with no traffic and just working on the line, early braking, and smooth shifting.

I have the Zeal V6 coilovers which come with front and rear camber plates. And then I got the car aligned and corner-weighted @ Roger Kraus.
