Sti v7 or v8 Suspension

I've posted this up on the Suspension forums, but figure there's more eyes in here...

So I've read a few threads that said there really isn't much difference between the v7 and v8 takeoffs. I'm in the market for picking up a set and the only difference I'm seeing is the price.

The car's only a daily driver (02 sedan). Price difference I'm seeing is about $50. If I can save $50 and go with v7 takeoffs I'll do it, but if it's worth $50 more for v8 then i'll go that route.

so for those of you in the know, should I spend or save $50?

TIA,
Ryan

I have JDM V8's and I love them. I was told that they are a little stiffer than the V7's. Call Gruppe-S they should be able to help you out with this one.

I have JDM V8s and love them. The rear springs on V8s will be tapered (variable rate). You also get inverted struts, which improves cornering at the cost of a bit more initial stiction. There may be a slight difference in the strut valving also, but I'm not 100% sure about that.

Make sure you get JDM and not USDM.

I bought my set from Steve, the jdmpartstx guy. Met him in person and got a good price. He knows what he is up to and he will be a good person to buy from.

Gruppe-S has a phat hookup for JDM parts...they get whole JDM motors and everything else as well. PLus you can't beat their customer service and prices. and no I don't work for them.

aegon- sent you a pm...lemme know what you think

arrkash - I called Gruppe-S yesterday about jdm sti v7 and they were charging more than what the jdmpartstx was charging for jdm sti v8.

I wanted to keep it local but if its cheaper for a v8 then i'll go that route.
