everyone and their mother wants to be a bartender right now. that, and you have to go to school/take classes and become certified for it. who cares what you do, as long as you are paying your bills. and hell, if you are delivering pizzas, might as well do it in style!

thats a common misconception. I didn't take any classes or go to any schooling to become a bartender. Like most jobs, you learn on the spot, and again..like most other jobs, you have to start at the bottom, whether it be as a barback or a waiter.

Yeah, depends on where you work, but my two bartender friends make around $500 a night on thurs, fri, and sat! No tax on that either! Both of my friends are male too. Actually, one of them makes even more then that, he works in santa row which is why. I remember when he brought home $1,200 a night one night! Some celebrity was there and the place was stacked... I didn't believe him until I counted his dough... Thats when I decided to go to bartending school.

Kinda hard now to find a gig without experience, but fortunate for me I bartended in Germany for 2 years That def helps... Where do you work now? Ever think of moving up to a better spot? You can't get the job if you don't try.

No joke, one of the engineers where I used to work couldn't make ends meet during his divorce and the only p/t job he could find was delivering pizza at $11/hr....he told me it's not really earning him that much money, 44% taken away in taxes, but it keeps him from spending money by delivering pizza at night.

Right now jobless is at a crazy high of 15%

So since your car is obviously running again, are you delivering?
