Just curious... Most of the STi Owners were/are WRX, RS or just Impreza owners in general. I want to know, did you keep your other Scoob(s) (<-- *ahem* ImprezaRS/WRX/STiDriver) or sold them for funds and to make room?

Chime in. If the STi is your first Scoob, are you keeping your other car or did you sell it?

when i heard that around late last year that SOA was gonna sell the STi, i started to ease up the use of my wrx.

then jan 7, SOA shocked the world with the STi specs and i just about stopped driving my wrx to preserve the miles.

then 2 weeks ago, mission accomplished...

 

Leo, Did you sell your sedona WRX or trade in? Or do you still have it?

 

The family still has all three imprezas in addition to the family Legacy GT Wagon and SVX. I kept the white car and the SVX, but I sold the WRX to my mom because she really wanted it as an alternative because she hates the minivan. Once I sold the WRX to my mom, I used the funds for the white car and I had money stored aside for the STi for a long time when I first met Chris. The Wagon is pimp that is for sure. I might bring that to the UCKK meet on Tuesday instead of my mom's WRX.

Because I started researching Subies back then and loved the STi and was saving money to import one, but then it finally hit our shores and that is how was able to get one.

Now I have no plans to mod the STi at all because I just want to drive it. As for the white car, once the pink injectors go in, and the ECU is tuned, then that car is officially finished. I did sell quite a bit of RC cars to have some of the money since I had lots of RC stuff and trust me. RC is not cheap either and I went through tires like water flowing down a river.

There is also other information regarding my plans but I cannot divulge them to the public.

 

The STi is my first scoob, but I'm definitely keeping my other cars. I have a 240sx with a silvia front end conversion and I'd like to finish it up. Also I have a muscle car project, '68 Firebird 400. I can't bear to part with it, it's a great car.

I came really close to buying one. CupertinoSteve offered me his #2 spot at Santa Cruz and could have driven one home the same day but I have to hold off for a bit. I just spent more than the price of an STI on my new house. I'll have to wait untill next year. Maybe by then, the STI Wagon will be out.

although i wish the red on the 2004 wrx was available...

 

First Scooby, considered the WRX a few years ago, but decided on the S4 instead. Just got the STI a few weeks ago, and am enjoying it. The flat 4 is unlike anything I've owned before. Surprisingly wide power band, and the torque is almost as good as the S4. Keeping the S4 for now.
