Mine had 1.3 miles on it when I bought it. The dealership said they werent doing test drives at all....and gave me a snobbish look (I was dressed pooerly, I just finished some yard work and had me grubbys on).
So I asked the saleman if she was seriously not going to let me test drive a car I will buy that day if I like it. She said sorry, serious shoppers only.
Boy was she pissed when I found another saleman and asked to test drive. He said "We can only allow test drives for people who are paying cash or have a pre-approved loan, if this is you, then I would love to take you out for a ride."
I looked at him funny, as if to say "Did you just say 'ride' as in you will drive and I will be Miss Daisy along to see if the car is comfy?"
So anyway, after telling him I was pre-approved (I was, but funny thing is he didn't ask me to prove it) we left the lot...with my grinning *** sitting in the passenger seat. About a block away, he pulled over said "It's the rules, so I will have to be back in the driver seat when we return."
And with that, I had a blast test driving a nice new WRB.
Some of you may be saying - But Robb, you drive a SILVER rex"...To which I would have to reply "Damn straight! I feel sorry for the dude that bought the car I test drove! Only 54 miles, and I only hit redline about 18 times....."

and turn the buzzer on.
I got to say.....that 2.5 turbocharged engine hits the
rev limiter fairly quick.
For those of you that owns one, or went to the
Subaru ride and drive program, would most likely agree
with me when I say that the car really rocks.
Especially when the pro's take you out for
a couple of hot laps.
To make it short, it drives even a salesperson like me crazy,
thinking about the STi. Especially when you have
to go to work everyday and see it sitting in front of you.
I do really hear it calling my name.

Now I must go convince my wife.
