I did a long road trip recently, about 6.5 hours from SF to LA. at then end of the trip, i noticed the clutch had started to make a groaning/low squeaking noise. I've never launched the car before, and i bought the car new. The noise is only happening when the engine is on, and it is definitely not a clicking type noise.

I've researched around a bit, but no one else seems to have this problem. they all have clicking noises, and seems to indicate another issue (firewall; master cylinder etc). this is most definitely a squeak/groaning noise.

i don't think I've bled the clutch fluid (which is brake fluid also) since ownership, but the fluid level is correct, and it is clear. I did however change my brake fluid recently to MOTUL RBF600, but i don't think that would cause the noise.

any thoughts would be appreciated!

 

Only when clutch in? If so throw out bearing?

 

Does it creak and groan from the top or only when the clutch is mostly in? Firewall weld might have given way.

I thought throw out bearing noise is a screeching like metal on metal and very loud? This happens 1/4- 1/2 down travel of pedal. Not every single time either.
