sti cluster

hrm...i just bought an sti cluster for my 04 wrx. supposedly this cluster is from a usdm 04 sti but when i tried plugging in the leftmost harness (fuel, temp gauge) it doesn't seem to fit. looks like the cluster has a few too many pinsand the grooves don't line up....looks like i could possibly shave the harness to get it to fit but i dono if that's wise... is this an 05 cluster? i always assumed 04 to 04 would just be pnp, minus wire b28....anyways. if anyone can help me out i'd appreciate it. i know this belongs in the interior forum but there isn't much traffic there and i would like to get this cluster in there as soon as i can...

the plugs are on opposite sides for the sti harness. so just swap the side wires around and then everything will plug in. don't forget to cut the b28 wire or you will blow the radio fuse.

hmm..i dono if that'll work though.

the speedo and tach plugs will go straight in (after being rotated 180 degrees) it's just the fuel\temp gauge plug that's giving me problems. i'm starting to think that this isn't out of an 04...

here are some pics of the terminals, first one being fuel\temp gauge, other one being the speedo plug on the right hand side of the cluster.. doesn't look like i can just swap the plugs. sorry for the crap pics btw, i can take some better ones tomorrow if that'll help. thanks again...
