Sti Block. Need Help!
ok so im buying a complete sti bloc with 15k miles on there and yet i have no clue to what i plan on doing. what i really want to do i just to pull out my wrx block and transfer everything onto the sti block, but i dont know if everything will work. im gettin the block for 200 dollars so any ideas on how to go about doing this? im only posting in the bay area because it gets more traffic.. so all the help will be appreciated

200 dollars? Is it just block halves? Does it come with everything (pistons, rods, crank)? Sounds to me like it don't have that...or it's blown if it's that cheap.
Long block or short block? What do know about this motor? Sounds like it might have some issues. FWIW that $200 block turns into $2000-$2500 really damn quick. Trust me.
Don't buy a damn thing until your current running motor dies. Then you start looking into Hybrid options or a complete 2.5L swap. I'd go the later route. Once again; Trust me.

haha well its from my friend and his older brother crashed his sti a while back and parted everything out and now all he has left is a complete block meaning the crank, rods, and what not that is either on the block itself ill take some pictures to let you guys know but i mean 200 dollars is a steal and only 15k miles? the car was hit from the rear and totaled so yea. he asked if i wanted to buy it for 200 since i have a wrx and im looking to get more power.
