Sti 4 Fng
I posted a few months back on i-club asking for info on which dealerships rocked in the bay. Jeff (ipozestu) told me to go to Capitol, and I wouldn't be sorry I did.
Fast forward 2 months to last week, and after selling my MkIV GTI, and talking every day about the STI, my wife finally gave in to my demands.
We went down to Capitol, and Jose, Ted, and Ron gave my wife and I the exact price we had in mind right off the bat. None of the good sales guy, bad sales manager, back and forth haggling. Just one solid price that everybody was happy with.
The car is awesome so far. It's so damn easy to drive fast w/o even knowing it. Sadly, I've only put about 10 miles on it since Saturday. I started to clay bar the car yesterday (this particular car has been on the lot for quite some time, and the paint was showing it), plus I'm waiting for my clear bra and mud flaps before I put serious miles on it.
I do miss some things from my GTI though, like the one touch up AND down windows (both the front ones). I also miss my compact switchblade key, instead of having the fob and key separate. I'm sure I'll miss the heated seats in the winter too. But I think that I'll forget about all these things once I mash on the gas.
I actually had seller's remorse the day after I sold my GTI, but that feeling has since gone away.
So I guess it's time for me to come out of lurking, now that I'm in the Subaru fold. Thanks again to Jeff and the crew at Capitol for making this happen for my family and I.

I haven't been to any of the meets yet. I didn't feel worthy since I didn't have a Subaru yet. haha
The blue was my wife's only requirement. She doesn't particularly like the gold, but I think it's growing on her. I would have preferred the white with gold rims.

I think part of it is because I'm **** about having my car detailed. My wife said the car was fine in her opinion and just rolled her eyes at me.
I would have done the same thing to get it looking how I wanted. Might as well clay bar it, polish and wax it from the get-go so you KNOW it's the best it can be.
At first I didn't like the new STi...till a White one with gold rims was chillin behind me off of Crow Canyon Road *drools*

Most of the other stuff I've ordered is mostly cosmetic so far. Clear bra and tint later this week. Rally Armor mudflaps and a shorty antenna are on the way. I debadged the Subaru and Impreza logos off the hatch (left only the STI). Looks nice IMO.
