hey guys i am gonna pick one up tomorrow from bestbuy and i just wanna know what the best alpine (or your favorite brand) deck is for about 200 bucks.

i want one with some kind of auxillary in so i can plug my samsung mp3 player into it.
and later on i wanna add a nice amp/sub

any suggestions/thoughts would be appreciated!! thanks guys

but for about $200 and a $30 ipod connector that doesn't require a module.. but rather just a plug... go alpine.

 

alpine, no modules! Modules just create another place for problems! I've got the alpine ipod ready one, ipod to cable to deck...done! Have had zero problems with it, or the one that my girl put in her car...

 

Heh.. im about to finally get a system in my car. I was planning to go alpine myself. After all my research, those seem to be the headunit to have.

if you say so but this thing has super high quality sound even from those little speakers, and it looks better, and it doesn't make you use itunes. i absolutely hate itunes. not that i hate ipods. i just hate itunes. "you can only dock your ipod to one at a time blah blah blah" this one will let you transfer your music to any computer you have unlike the ipod/itunes.

 

Get a Pioneer Premier. Alpine's quality has gone down the drain the past year or so. Unless you can find an older 9815. Ebay is your friend.

I'm looking to get the DEH-P880PRS on ebay which I think is about 300 or less.

 

thing is i need an auxiliary input. i didn't see that this one has that.

I tested that samsung out in best buy and could hardly hear it turned all the way up. i thought it sucked, your better off hooking up any mp3 to some real speakers (at a party, in your car wherever) unless your at one of those "quiet partys" when you can actually put those 1/2" speakers to work.

And i have a sony gt-400 and gt-500 deck...they are awesome, i like the GT-400 cuz it has an aux hole on the face and it has color changing face for like $159. the gt-500 has all this weird ppixel animation in blue (what came with my RS when i bought it) AND I HATE IT. Alpine sucks too, ive had 3 and 2 out of the 3 have faulty buttons especially VOLUME DOWN....FCUUUUK i hate them.
