State ref ticket downtown sj

on my way to work today i got pulled over for "emitting noise" from my exhaust on market and julian. I have a stromung dual tip but it didn't matter, cop made me pop my hood and pointed at my bov and said it was "modified intake system." Is evergreen a good place to go? I don't really want to swap out my turboback but if it seems like its my only choice. On my ticket it says "modified muffler, guage (boost guage), and modified intake (bov). Any experiences from evergreen ref?

funny you mention that, when i went to wyotech, the techs said they couldnt run the test cuz i had gauges (defi tripod) and i told them that doesnt have to do with anything emission wise as well as the TT, but they insisted i remove it and reschedule.

btw, i heard a lotta good things about the alameda state ref

g'luck

Dude that sucks im always in downtown and in that Coleman Plaza.

Just make sure you dont get black dude at evergreen he came from Wyotech. He's a real you know what. Just make sure you got all your cats, stock BPV, and intake. You should be good to go. Good luck with thay. One of the reasons why I painted my exhaust black and sold my HKS laser shooter.

Wow....I would be pissed. Stupid cops don't know so they hand out tickets...weird I know that's NOT what they're supposed to do...
Probably felt like an idiot because you were proving him wrong!

yeah i thought i was pretty safe with the stromung dual tip since it looks pretty stock. I haven't had trouble with cops at all in 2-3 years even when i'm cruising next to them. Today wasn't my day i guess, he pulled up behind me and as soon as it turned green i saw the lights. The messed up part was he told me "alright you're all set thank you for your cooperation" and as soon as i left i realized he forgot to give me back my license/registration.
