Replace it, it says to replace the filter every 15k, i might be wrong on the mileage. If its is the one that came with the intake it is not cleanable and your MAF could get angry.

DO NOT oil ur filter. SPT filters are dry. K&N are oiled as are the recharge kits. Using those are a great way to destroy ur MAF sensor.

The instructions say to replace it so I would do that. I heard the v1 model had to be replaced but the v2 could be cleaned, but both instructions say to replace it.

V2, wtf u talkin bout Willis...

They are cotton. Replace them. I blow mine out every now and again then toss. And you're not even suppose to do that.

40 bucks once a year ain't bad.

Replace them. They aren't meant to be reused.

Hey, it is my job. No kidding required. I get why you said that.

The truth of the matter is they aren't meant to be re-oiled and reused. So just replace them. They're not expensive.

If you want to use a K&N I guess you can. K&N filters and any filter that contains a large amount of oil to trap dirt can cause problems with the MAF sensors on Subarus because that oil gets past the filter and can clog the sensor. Even if I didn't sell the stuff I'd just replace the filter. It's cheap enough and safer in my opinion.
