Spring compressor?

Any body nearish to emeryville have one they can loan me over the holiday weekend? Was going to rent one from Kragen, but most of the stores are out of them. Got some camber plates and grpN rear tops that need to go on the struts.

thanks

I've got an RS with pink springs and struts. They're a little lower and stiffer than stock. Not tarmac stiff, but def not stock.

Kragen does something similar, except the refund the cost less 6bucks a day. Still, I called 3 of them an they were all out (they were closer than autozone).

I figured I needed to pick up some other stuff anyway, and drove my *** up to harbor freight. They sell a compressor for 9.99. Working like a charm.

not really, just wrap a strong rope around the spring when your taking them off to prevent them from shooting anywhere, and with lowering springs you can just push them down to get the bolt back onto the strut, i have done this on 3 seperate occasions

First one on my 98 legacy
second on an 05 wagon
third on a 99 rs

hope this helps pm me if you have any questions

I'm doing a WRX suspension drop into my '98 Forester today. Throwing on Prodrive WRX springs while I'm at it.

Does the 98 Forester suspension (struts/springs) directly bolt into the 02-03 WRX wagon?
