Angry SPINNER HUB CAPS almost hit me!

I was on my way home from Deanza about to enter Milpitas, this afternoon, when this Galant passes by me with those spinner hub caps. He gets about 2-3 car lengths ahead of me on the lane to my left when his front right hub cap falls flies off his wheel and lands on the freeway. Then about 2-3 seconds later the car in front of me ran it over and that sucker just barely flew over my car. Looked like some sort of minature Flying Saucer. I didn't look behind me afterwards so I dont know if it hit anyone. After that little crazy experience, it makes me hate those spinner hub caps even more.

You lucked out! Glad it missed your car. I had a close call with a half sheet of drywall a few years back.

Spinner hub caps are like rice for domestic cars.

The CA Vehicle Code outlaws just about everything else, from LED valve stems to whistle tips, so I imagine that the spinner hubcaps will be another CHP target someday.

once on 85 i was driving north and i saw someone carrying a few sheets of plywood on the top of their truck. they were flapping around and i was just watching and waiting. finally it happened, a piece broke off the size of a large book and flipped around in the air before hitting my jeep's bumper (i was in the carpool lane, they were on the far right lane). no damage to the jeep and the wood was transformed into toothpicks by the time my bumper was through with it...

A week ago, I was going south bound on 101 and some yuppie jacka$$ had tied some 2x6 pressure treated lumber to the roof rack of his land rover with bungee cords. Most people know how bungee cords work. Not this guy. In high speed traffic, there was a dozen 2x6 PT boards in 8ft lengths all over the highway. Even better, he was trying to walk out in 80mph traffic to retreive it all. Oh yeah, if you are not familiar with pressure treated wood, it's fucqing heavy shiz.

Some people just don't get it....

i've been forced to dodge everything from debris from a blowout, redwood trestles for someone's garden, and bundles of fiberglass on the freeway. people that let **** fall off their vehicle need to be held responsible for it.

and yeah, i hope Darwin got mr. i'm going to retrieve my pieces of lumber from the freeway.
