I've found several spiders under my trunk carpet. My friend found a Japanese ant stuck in his right headlight housing when he bought the car.

i park in my driveway and there are trees and bushes to the side.

i guess the bugs just crawl in through the air vents or something, but i just dont want to be driving and a spider jumps in my face and causes me to crash into a tree or somthin..

guess i jsut gotta vacum and do a wipe down, or i cud set off one of those pesticide bombs....

I had some FAT AZZ spiderwebs in my car when I first got it from the dealer.. they were in the fender (when you look in the crack after opening the door.) and in the hood... and hood scoop.. and in the trunk lining. I hate spiders and when I saw all that.. I got pissed! I even touched the spiderweb and it was really really thick and I had a hard time breaking them. So I told my dealer (Diablo Valley) and they told me to take it to the carwash and have it detailed. I got me a 100 dollar car detail from Tower Wash at the corner of Mission and Van Ness... and I got my money back from Diablo Valley Subaru. Not bad but I'm still scared that there may be spiders there still. Man, What kinda spider lays fat azz webs like that?!

The spiders that I found in my trunk made some thick webs too. Can anyone identify a black spider that has a small round body but legs longer than those of a daddy-long-leg?

No, not a black widow. It is something that I haven't ever seen in the States. Maybe it came with the car.

that's scary to think that pests are being exported from Japan and coming here to the states by car. I always wondered what kinda spider was in my car. Did you catch yours?

Over a year ago my boss saw a spider in her 4Runner and jumped out of it. Her car then crashed into mine causing $10,000 in damage.

Yeah, spiders in your car are not cool.
