Sourcing an engine shortblock locally?

Does anyone know where I can get an EJ22T shortblock locally (sac/bay area)? I am aware that they can be had for new from a dealership, but I don't have quite that much money. If I can manage to find one somehow, I'm going to give a go to a swap

regards - jonathan

I've actually been there. I don't know why, I just assumed they didn't have any engines (I was looking for body parts). I'll give them a call. Anywhere/anyone else I can look towards for an EJ22T?

EJ22T shortblock + oil pump = straight shortblock swap using my existing heads, sensors, and everything else. STi shortblock + a million other things = wanting to kill myself. It's not really for me. I am just looking for an easy swap that will give me more stability when I put the stage 2 kit on. I don't want to have to do anything else to the engine/ECU.

Contact I-Speed. They even do the 2.5 swaps and all that good stuff. Plus tuning. http://www.i-speedusa.com
