source for titanium or aerospace aluminum?
I'm looking around for a place to pick up some strips of high strength alloy for fabrication of fender braces, underbody reinforcement, skidplates, swords, whatever. Ideally some kind of titanium alloy or aerospace aluminum. I sound so cool and smart saying that word... aerospace....
anyhow, thanks in advance for your help, I remember there were some I-clubbers running around with some insane metals, just wondering where you sourced 'em from.

haha you're absolutely right about the aerospace thing, I just saw it somewhere and thought it sounded cool.
I figured the 6061 aluminum would be fine. Alan steel at whipple and 101 should have loads of it, I was just checking to see if anybody had any other sources.

I thought the "aircraft grade" stuff was the 6061, didn't realize it was actually 7075.
Would it be worth the extra cost to use 7075 to fabricate braces? My initial guess is that it would. Especially considering that a pre-made fender brace set is 100-140$

there is a chart here

I've looked into this a bit and then found this. The labor and material would be more.
