I met Rodney Mullen when he was freestylin with the Powell Peralta tour at Bracknell skate park when I was a kid. In fact I remember Tony Hawk going for a Mctwist and bailing his board flew off and hit some kid straight in the head. Tony gave the kid a brand new board, the kid gave Bracknell skate park 2 of his teeth

I've met some of them when I was skating at Spinning Wheels skate park back in the 80's Rodney Mullen, Steve Caballero, and Tony Hawk at the old Cathouse in Los Altos Hills.. Met Duane Peters of Santa Cruz Skateboards too. Nice bunch of guys!

I believe Cab was there on the tour as well, I was with some dude that I forget his name but was rated as the #1 Roller fruiter worldwide and knew all of the Powell guys, I was about 14-15 at time and was skating at the ramp in my home town (Farnborough) when the roller booter guy came by and was like anyone want to see Powell Peralta team skate at Bracknell jump in my car so a few of us piled in for the 20 mile drive. Probably one of the best spur of the moment things I have done those guys were nuts!

I used to skate street throughout the UK at parks like Romford and Southsea and spent most of my time at the shell center in London just outside Waterloo (where I broke both my wrists slamming on a kickflip hand rail down 9 steps )

Chris Edwards or Arlo Eisenberg maybe?

Good band in the video, too.

Dope post! I used to ride trials back in the day but kept getting hurt. Admittedly I haven't been keeping tabs on the culture lately, but this video really shows a progression into BMX-oriented moves, which is just bad frickin ***.

And yeah, Band of Horses is the band playing. They come to SF occasionally, I saw them at Mezzanine a few years ago.

Neither of those two, you have to remember this was about 20 years ago.

I remember this guy doing full back flips off the coping on a massive vert ramp, scary as hell to watch.

Back in those days most of us Skaters hated the Roller booters but everyone agreed this guy was badass!

I'm trying to remember who else was around in the late 80s. Chris was. Arlo wasn't. Ummm... drawing a blank.

The question is where were you in the late 80's?
