Sooo...
I just received my evo3-16G turbo a few minutes ago. I tore that box open like a kid on christmas. needless to say the green packing peanuts flew everywhere..lol.
Now, I noticed there is no serial number anywhere on the turbo. Nothing to say it's blouch or evo3 or 16G or anything. It has some numbers here and there but nothing to specify if its an Evo3-16G or not. However, it does have a mistubishi symbol though. I taped up all the holes with masking tape until the install.
Should I be worried? I'll find out soon enough after the install, lol.

extremepsi is a vendor on EvoM and they seem like they have a pretty good rep there, Im pretty sure they EvoM would know if they were in the business of selling bad turbos.

Now that you mention that, I'm not too worried now. I asked on the evo forum and someone said it looked their 16G and someone else told me to ask on the dsm forums. I'll check that out. I just hope that I actually did get an evo3 16G turbo for my wrx and that the manufacturer actually didn't print the stuff on the turbo...lol im hoping for th best

I read somewhere that the knock-off evo3 16G's usually have a flat part with a serial number printed on it. Sorry, I don't have the link to where I read that, but I saw a pic of it and it doesn't look like what you have. Although there obviously could be different ones out there.

I got a response from extremepsi saying this: The Blouch turbochargers use the 16g CHRA, but they use their own compressor and turbine housings. The usually do not have any serial numbers on the housing.
Now I have some piece of mind. Thanks everyone for you help! I appreciate it!

I stuck my finger through some of the holes....
....and I picked up a bit of dust. Just didn't want it to pick anything up before my parts install this weekend =]
