Something that just makes you wanna cry! 76 Eldorado Cadi bbq
My mom was driving her 76 Eldorado yesterday. Unbenownst to her, there was a speaker wire sparking behind her rear seat. She smelled smoke, pulled off the freeway, and parked. Smoke started billowing out of the area where her convertible top is. Then flames. She called 911 and they got there as fast as they could. A good samaratin grabbed the fire extinguisher from the valero and sprayed it but it still roarded back to life.

Now its probably going to be a pick an pull car. She has to finally decide, but the parts on it are all origional. If anyone wants a 500 block engine, let me know. The exterior and engine are still prestine but the interior is gone, and no $$ to bring it back.

Yah, she cleared away from the car. She had a full tank of gas so no BOOM. Scary thing is too that she was going to take my 5 month old neice to the sitters this morning but didn't have time so my sister had to. If she woulda been in the back seat....... geeze. Mom woulda gotten her out, nothing like mom reflexes lol

I'd have to ask her. She said that the engine is worth 1500 by itself cuz its a 500 block? No leaks no drips, doesn't burn oil at all. The engine is fine, body is straight. Tranny shifts great.

But I'll stick with my 240 or so hp carbed .60 over 331.
Yes - 190hp BUT something like 500tq from what I've read. The 76 is probably the least desirable of the 500ci caddy engines, but still has good potential with some changes.
