The spokes are thicker on these 57P's. The skinnier ones are on the 57C I believe.

its 57c and 57f.
the 57f are better material, and stronger, thus fater spokes.

the 57c are cast

does anyone have any input on how the wheels may differ in performance because of this difference?

im really looking into a set

thanks
alex

Less weight= good (duh) but with rotating assemblies it's an exponential function, meaning that as you reduce the weight, the benefit is almost like the reduction squared- it's the same effect you get from a lightened pulley or flywheel. Then there's unsprung weight, which is crucial to how nimble and agile your suspension can be. Basically, it means that reducing the weight of your wheels by say 20 pounds total is MUCH better than pulling 20 pounds off anywhere else. And of course, forged wheels are damn near indestructable under normal conditions. Unless your normal conditions are in Michigan.

well...both wheels are very light.
are there any known comparisions of a wheel where one model was cast and one forged? peformance? strength? durability?

is there really a significant difference?
are the prices of these two wheels close?

thanks
alex

the wheels for sale on the ebay is actually the gram lights 57 PRO (2 piece, forged) not the gram lights 57F (one piece forged, 5 thin spokes similar to 57c).
