Wouldn't be surprised if he did it as a sick joke or something. 
EDIT: Looks like the GSO cup (which is the competition that he won his trophies in) is all about extravagant, over-the-top style. He won in the K-Car and Art categories. I guess if the contest is being about over-the-top, he wins.
