So who else is flooding?

Our house is! We aren't "water to the windows" status but half of the downstairs room is wet. When I got home from work around 4:30 or so, I noticed one small spot that was kind of damp, but nothing else. A little bit later I looked around more and realized it was getting damp near my drums, so those all came upstairs. In the hour span between seeing the first spot and finishing moving the drums, there were now two ~1 or 1.5 foot spots of wet carpeting. By mid evening the first of the two spots was no longer "damp" but you could see actual water pooling and the two spots had merged in to one giant soaked area. I just finished sucking up about 25 gallons of water and it is obviously no where near dry, but its not quiet as bad as it was before.

Thank god we rent

damn. I'm 50 feet from a 20 foot wide creek, but i'm also 50 feet above it so i can only slide down into it. Luckily theres a road between my house and the creek so i'll stop sliding by then.

I had to tape up my window because it started leaking. Our pool/spa is close to overflowing too!

this is the flooding we had in Redwood City throughout the day Friday, starting around 10am. we couldn't get in our out of our complex after 10am, i had to run in the rain just to get back to my office.

plus, i saw at least 15 cars get towed out of that big one because they tried to make it...not so lucky.

oh and ignore the last 3 pictures of ppl in my office.

dunno - i assume blocked drains or just a lack of drains to begin with. sean was all worried that his old man lexus was going to get swamped!

the facility next door was a few feet under water though. looks all clear today.
