So what's a really expensive bodyshop

Yeah I have to get an estimate for a heavily scratched up bumper. A cop hit me, so I'd like to make those bastards PAY. I'm going in sometime this week for an estimate to repaint my rear bumper. Where should I go?

Thank you all, any help would be VERY appreciated,
Ambert

haha thanks Sisco, although you bumped my post like 4 minutes after I posted it!

But yeah, anyone have experience dealing with these claims? Cause this is my first accident, and I don't know what to do. How can I get the most money from the government? (believe me if it was a private party I wouldn't do this, but I really, really, really hate the cops in my town!!!)

So I figure, I've gotten sooo many dumb tickets (30 in a 25 mph zone twice, and AT THE END OF THE MONTH, go figure), rolling @ 2 mph, yes 2 mph which is like walking speed through an empty stopsign in the dead of night, etc. that it's payback time.

Everyone I know that has had claims with the fuzz either didn't get paid or it took years.
Maybe you'll get lucky since they prolly won't involve lawyers and the like.
Good luck

Another expensive one is Cooks Collision, they have an office in Dublin and on in Walnut Creek I believe. Stead Mercedes and Hacienda Mercedes all send thier cars there. High price but great work.

I have two. For sure they'll jack it up for the bacon makers.
1) Tam's autobody in SF. (eddy st. I think it is.)
They do excellent work. Big o tires messed up my mr2 and they did an estimate for me. Was referred by a friend. They estimated $1600, and other shops quoted $900 for two cracked side skirts (mr2 full bodykit)
2) 19th Ave. autobody... These guys have an amazing shop. Looks too nice for a bodyshop. Anyway their prices are sky high but service is excellent. $6500 for a paint job.
