This is the worst Giants team I've EVER seen.
The ownership should be kicked in the *****. $170 million for Zito. I think EVERYONE knew that was a mistake. Quite possibly the biggest waste of money in the history of baseball.
I have not personally watched any giants game this year where they WON. And I've caught parts of probably 10 games.
But hey... Barry Bonds didn't mean much to the team right....

the theory where you praise the performance of the player in the past.
whereas, i suggest a format, where you PAY AS YOU PLAY...

exactly.. and the thing with zito is that he hadn't done well in a couple years. Not gonna just all of a sudden get it back. His velocity is down like 10mph or more. That's HUGE in the majors. **** I played with guys in junior high that through harder than he does and he's not a nuckle baller and doesn't have the accuracy and mind of madox.
Unfortunately there is no reality in the pay checks of professional athletes. Sorry but no athlete is worth $30 million a year. It's rediculous.
I think that these sports teams should be paying HEAVY taxes and be force to help out the local economies. Think about how much better our national education system could be if 5% of professional athletics incomes went DIRECTLY to it.
No more cuts. Teaches could make more than $27k a year which would mean more people might be willing to teach.
I mean... GARBAGE men make as much as 5x's what teachers make. Stupid.

Maybe thats why some teams cannot afford really good players... because they are paid whether they play or not... play bad or play good.
