So the RX8 guys had a meet...
At the Crystal Guard vendor's place.
12 guys showed up. A lucky 2 guys got a FREE basic Crystal Guard treatment put on their cars...
Guess who was the 1st person???...
Yup... yours truly!!! Peep this. I've NEVER been able to get my car THAT INSANELY SHINY! It's more mirror-like than I've ever seen.... I can't get that clean when I use claybars, waxes, etc... it's even cleaner then when I first picked up the car from the dealer... simply put... Crystal Guard is AWESOME.
A little pricey but if you care about how clean your car looks & how long, this will satisfy.

Actually Crystal Guard is a paint sealant.
Kinda like Teflon waxes & acrylic waxes, but more reliable & durable. It combines florine & glass fibers to make a spray-on sealant for your car... think of it as a extra layer of clear coat on the car but only 0.5 - 1.0 micron thick.
It's put on like paint too for the top of the line EX treatment(which takes one whole day to do). They first wash the car then apply the primer of Crystal Guard, then allow it to cure for about 2-3 hrs then apply the base coat & then allow that to cure as well, then finally apply the last layer which will protect your car for something like 6 months.

That was the do it yourself package. They have the EX package available to do yourself but they recommend you do it in the shop because they have a temp. controlled garage in a controlled environment (sorta) i.e. less dust & pollen, etc vs. doing it outside or in your garage. They also apply the primer & base coat with a special sprayer gun thingy.
The top of the line EX treatment with 3 year warranty would be $399.99, w/o warranty, $299.99.
Not exactly the cheapest car washes ever but yeah...

Hey Bob!!!
I'm originally a Subaru guy! I'm old school around these parts. I've been with these guys since 2000 or so.
I'm always a BAIC guy no matter what I drive.

I must say I admire that talent. I can't take pics to save my life... especially when one forgots one's camera at home...
