So in other words..... yes. (UC Bart Parking Q&A)
I'm sure some of you that take BART from Union City have noticed that the parking there is no longer free. $1 for the front lot all day and $3 all day for the back lots I believe.
After I saw they were doing this I did some more research on the BART website in regards to parking. On there they had a link to some more parking information, which included a Q&A section.
I got a laugh out of this:
So in other words.... yes, lol.

Q. Does the City need to write parking tickets to balance its budget?
A. Parking citations are issued to make sure that parking rules and regulations are observed. Parking citation revenues are used to provide parking services and to recover the costs of enforcing parking regulations.
