So im looking for an exhaust...

Ok so whats the best exhast i should get? in terms of sound[not too loud, i only heard what it sounds like from the Subydude website. thanks subydude] and performance. i dont want something too flashy, i had the Perrin single tip in mind. what caught my eye was the look. i really like that look. kinda stock-ish to the untrained eye. i guess? bad idea? i guess i should have retitled this as "is the perrin a good exhaust. "i havnt seen many wrx's or STi's runnin around with it. is it because, its kinda pricey? idk help me out! please. ;D i recently picked up a Helix V3 dp from Gruppe-s [thanks again guys] if that matters. thanks again

Well if you want a not too loud exhaust there's the Greddy Evo2, but it does look like a fart can even though it's not that loud.. The Borla Hush seems like a big favorite around here, it's relatively quiet, louder than stock, and looks like an 02-03 stock exhaust. It's twin tip. I think the Blitz Nur Spec is suppose to be pretty subtle. The stromung dual tip is another quiet exhaust. I thikn there's a chart of the decible ratings somewhere...but look into the borla hush! it's not flashy and sounds mean. Is your downpipe catted or catless? because catless is louder of course.

I got the Evo2 quietest aftermarket exhaust I believe. I love it but its giant single tip might draw unwanted attetion.

what you can do is actually run a stealthback. it would be a catless system from your turbo to the axleback, at which you can use yours or buy an added portion. i almost went this route after seeing the maddad stealthback. check it out, hope my input helped

happy motoring

+1 for Stromung catbacks!
I had a dual tipped version on my 01RS and now I have another 3" version on my 98RS/WRX and it gives a fairly deep tone and isn't obnoxiously loud. Since it's dual tipped it looks stockish and I've never been bothered with it on either car

I got the apexi gt exhaust with a perrin down pipe. I don't have any cats and thats really loud! it is a great sound and it was pretty cheap. The turbo back and installation was about $1100.

yup.

Justin runs that exhaust and it's louder than my perrin twin tip and that sucker is LOUD.

The blitz catless will put you around 105dbs.

I'd say borla hush, aps, stromung...stuff like that. All decent. Though catless the APS really opens up. Jeff runs one and it's pretty loud.

if Crucial ever gets their damn catblack out I'm gonna get that.

Borla XR-1. It's single tip, looks similar to stock STi but a little larger, and sounds mean as hell. I loved it when I had it, sold it to PeanutWRX, and I'm pretty sure he's happy with it as well.
