So I'm curious...(how many switched from Subaru to another brand?)

How many guys still on the forum switched from Subaru to another brand? We all know people like Zoeb that went BMW, and the others that went Evo , but how many others are there? And what were your reasons for leaving? And which brand(s) did you got to? I've had a bugeye and an 06 STI, but I don't like the '08, so I've decided to that my next car will not be a Subaru. What's your story?

I sold my Subaru for a Saturn Vue Redline. That's right, Saturn, deal with it. The reasoning was multifaceted. I needed a small SUV for work (sales rep for a wine and spirits dist.) and a wanted something with the most power/style possible in the segment. Since I was pretty upset with SOA's handling of my botched warranty work, the Forester was a no go. So, the relatively lightweight Vue coupled with a Honda 250+hp 3.5l and a sportier-than-most-SUV's suspension, the Vue Redline was the way to go.

Have been thinking of a the new 135i BMW. The thing is a friggin' rocket!

However, no LSD on it or the 335i (Yeah, Zoeb doesn't have an LSD, LMAO!), and it seems like every kid in the world wants one which will drive prices up, and well, I don't know if I can be without the sube.

I sold the STi because it ended up being a daily driver 100+ imles per day as it was not suppoesed to be. Became too much of a money pit. Sold it and bought a daily driver which was sold for a daily riden motorcycle. I also bought a dedicated racecar so no need for a fast streetcar that sucks 91 oct.

I sold my Subaru for a 06 350Z.....

Why - because I wanted a more pure sports car.

I like how you think!!!

Let me also comment on the Miata thing. Even if I could fit into a Miata, I would never own one... It's so impractical that it's not even funny... Not only that, but you get the whole gay thing no matter what, especially from people that aren't into cars... you're instantly a homo and you're frowned upon. There are no cool miatas unless you're a miata fan. I can appreciate a lot of cars, but I cannot appreciate a miata. Sorry man. Plus, I'm 6'6" and there isn't a chance in HELL that I could drive one without a full on seat replacement (with low riding racing seat).

My bugeye has a whopping 33K miles on it and only gets driven on the weekends. I be driving an 08 Charger company car Monday - Friday here in the next couple weeks. So if I do part with my Suby, I don't see myself buying another car anytime soon.

I don't know I think I could have fun with a full race prepped on on a track or on a canyon run...

Oh snap! you do have a point there, I only just barely fit in one at all myself, I wouldn't own one unless I got it for free, and I think even without a seat in it at all, you probably wouldn't fit.

Now, if I were a foot shorter and 100lb lighter, I might have a different take, I might even go so far as buying one, but your are right for us over 6' they just don't make sense.

Heck, I don't even fit in an NSX

anyone that was 16 before 1989 know that the miata was revolutionary...coming from a 21 year old...how could you not have respect for them? any true car guy has respect for them because stock ones can tear up corvettes in teh mtns...as long as you keep it on tight roads under 40 lol (which all driving should take place on, anything over 50 mph just shows how much *****, and money you have, thats when need for skill diminishes)
