Ruby's at the end of the pier has a pretty good milkshake.
Spectrum is a nice mall to walk around that's less foofoo than Fashion Island.
+1 to check out the Wedge, just take Balboa Blvd all the way down til it ends, and you'll be at the wedge.

 

Go to chronic tacos since there is no good mexi food up N.

 

It's kid friendly.

Also, you should def go to 37th (??IIRC??) in Newport and check out the tacky murals on Rodman's hummer. Actually, it's been about 8 years since I did that so who knows if he still has that POS.

 

It's actually real nice here but can't stop trippin out on hOw fast these people drive for what the speed limits are here ... How they cut you of to be 1 car ahead of you literally saving himself 1 second for nothing and they don't give a shiit if you I've a kid in the car... But anyways... Gonna get some lunch in a bit I wanna enjoy my self and maybe rent a kayak and check out the scene... Good spot for a good beer near the beach?
