If a cop can make a radar gun say anything he ants it to say he could have just walked back to it an put 69mph in it. I think that it must be proved on the radar, and I also think that haveing a radar which is made to detect speed and being able to input anything defeats the purpose, I bet those cops have some tricks under them sleeves,

BTW this is only and opinion I dont have much experiance in this dept.

theres always a 'radar survey' in court...not sure if the survey gives info on that radar detector or if it does it from that time he clocked you.

If its a survey from when he clocked you and he has a survey to prove it then you don't really have a case.

Again, I don't know what the radar survey shows though...

He doesn't have to show you the reading on the spot. However, when he is in court with you, you can request the reading from his radar showing the speed, date, and time that he clocked you at. Also, you should request the record for the last time his radar gun was calibrated. I don't remember how frequently they should be recalibrated. You will have to look that up. If the gun was pass due for calibration, then you are a lucky man. If he has all the records showing the judge that you did in fact drive at the speed that he cited you for and the radar calibration, then you can tell the judge that you didn't realize that you were going so fast because of the fact that the road was empty, the conditions were clear and dry, and that the expressway was a controlled-access roadway. If your driving record is clean, ask the judge to reduce your fines and request to attend traffic school.

Don't go to court. cops get paid overtime for that, and they love getting paid overtime.

Find out if you can dispute the ticket by mail. Cops aren't paid to write letters to judges.

hmm... why does everyone write "so i got a ticket" or something? i just noticed that since i did the same thing

but yah... fight it by doing the written declaration.. i have to see how mine does... i just sent the letter in to plea not guilty

i just heard that they are cracking down on written declarations and is getting a little bit harder to fight with it. also some other online sites that showed how to fight tickets have been taken down since the goverment or something told them to take it down and even tried to get ticketassasin down but they didn't have enough to take them down =/
