Edit: K found it, its in the emissions handbook, Revision 7, appendix K. It states all parts that are not of concern for smog legality.

Why even bother taking your car to the state ref? You can just pay off these tickets and be done with them. No need to remove everything off your car.

GUYS!!! You keep debating over the FMIC issue. My buddy went to ref with one and passed, because they are LEGAL. However, if you run a FMIC on a WRX, you will fail because of the blow off valve welded onto the piping. Another reason to fail would be the non CARB legal intake. But, if there were some way to run a fmic with the stock recirc valve and carb legal intake, you are good to go. As for the JDM bumper beam - they are only concerned with smog.

I paid the fine (non-corrected, about $300.) and got to renew my registration....all they want is your $$$$$

i was told that you can only pay the fine if you have a bul1**** excuse. like sold the car or car not operating at the moment. correct me if i heard wrong.
