Either/or. You can either have a buddy make a log-in name on your 360 and play co-op locally, or if you have a buddy with a 360 and xbox live they can meet up with you remotely.

This is THE BEST game I've played in quite a while. I love how if you don't take cover you're screwed. No kamakazi run-ins. You actually have to plan out flanking moves etc. to succeed in the harder settings.

It's the type of gameplay that really lends itself well to co-op play, so do that if possible. You can also mix/match single player and co-op play. So if you start the game single player but have a buddy come over, he can join in with you. When your buddy leaves you can keep going again in single player.

My only complaint is the lack of weapons selection and the inability to drive vehicles in mutiplayer.I really hope they add more weapons in future updates and/or downloadable marketplace content.

If anyone has it and wants to play, my xbox live name is Klausy. I'm going through co-op with a buddy locally, but if you want to meet up for versus I can always use some help.

I played til 2am last night. It was a toss up between this or CoD3... I'm glad I picked this instead. Multiplayer is the ****, I played Co-op with some guy from Indiana last night for a few hours over Live. Its definitely a game to buy.

I can't decide between GoW and CoD3 so I'll probably get both. Is call of duty on sale anywhere?

Choosing between 1 and 2 is as simple as which song list you like better.
Guitar Hero succeeded where Konami failed with Guitar Freaks.

Guitar Freaks, 12 mixes and 8 years later, it's still not as good as Guitar Hero. This is mostly what I heard from hardcore music game fans. I'm not much of one, I just stick with DDR and Beatmania IIDX.

If you can only get one get GOW. COD3 is good, and a worthwhile evolution of COD2, but GOW is seriously a revolution. The UnrealEngine is insane and finally looks 'next-gen.'

the crouching run when pressing A is seriosly amazing. I find myself doing it when I don't need to just for the eye candy.
