I literally watched mine....it was on 999...I was about to get on the free way when it hit 1000 it was on....I was close to 100 by the time I hit the freeway....wwwwooowhooo.

there are lots of theories on how to properly brake the motor in> I for one drove 99% of the time under 4k but knocked it over every 100 miles or so. From the research I did that seemed to be the best way to set seals and the way most people that aren't the car manufacturer said to do it. My car is running like a champ at 1300 miles. yeah. though I did brake my stereo. Thanks to subaru of santa cruz for getting me a new one on Sat.
